The author
Meet Samantha Doyle
I’m a writer rediscovering my voice after years of setting it aside for everything else life required.

Sam Doyle // Author
Samantha Doyle writes stories that explore what it means to belong — to a place, to a person, and to yourself again after loss. Her work blends tenderness with truth, weaving together themes of identity, grief, and quiet hope.
She believes the right story finds you exactly when you need it most — and that the words we cling to in difficult seasons often become the map back to ourselves.
At the heart of every story she writes lies a question:
Who do we become when the life we planned unravels — and what magic remains when we start again?
From lyrical romantasy to darkly funny contemporary fiction, her work examines transformation in all its forms. Whether her characters are wielding power in imagined worlds or searching for meaning in grief groups and city cafés, their journeys share the same thread: the courage to begin again.
After rediscovering her love of reading in her thirties, Samantha found herself drawn back to the blank page — this time with a deeper understanding of how stories heal. What began as a quiet creative outlet has become the foundation of a growing body of work shaped by empathy, honesty, and the enduring belief that every chapter — even the messy ones — matters.
She writes from her home in Lincolnshire (where she lives with her husband & three children)
often accompanied by a strong cup of tea and a cat with opinions about deadlines.

Stories in progress
“There is always a story waiting to be unraveled”
Samantha is currently working across three projects, each exploring a different facet of identity and belonging
Windforged — an Irish-inspired romantasy about pacts, prejudice, and the cost of power. Set in a fractured world of ancient magic and buried history, it asks what we’re willing to sacrifice to become who we were meant to be.
The Good Mourning Club — a darkly romantic mystery where grief brings six strangers together — and not everyone is telling the truth. A story of loss, love, and laughter in the unlikeliest of places.
Words From My Heart — an intimate poetry collection written in the spaces between heartbreak and healing; an unfiltered look at the ghosts we live with and the hope that lingers beneath them.
Over the Years
Flicking through the pages
Every story has a backstory. Here’s how mine unfolded
Our family was complete
Our daughter was born mid 2018, and with that our family (and chaos) felt complete.
Launched my first blog on WordPress
After the birth of my third child (and first girl!) I dived into learning how to build WordPress websites, copyright & all things marketing. My first site Here I Mum Again was a no holds barred look at what parenthood was like in the noughties.
Confidence boost
Landed my dream job at Flodesk without even applying — recognised simply for being herself and her authentic curiosity. She also took her first international solo trip to the U.S. for a team retreat, a journey that would quietly reshape everything that came next.
Rainstorms & rainbows
I lost my mum and grandad suddenly at the beginning of the year, got married to the love of my life and found her dad, opening a new chapter of understanding and belonging.
Magical Beginnings
A first visit to Disneyland Paris sparked more than just nostalgia — it reignited her creative spirit. That trip became the seed of Pixie Dust Wanderlust, a space built to help others plan magical trips and rediscover the wonder in their own lives.
Growth & Magic
What started as a small corner of the internet quickly became something much bigger. Pixie Dust Wanderlust grew from just 200 followers to over 15,000 in a matter of months — a whirlwind of magic, community, and shared excitement that reminded me what creativity could look like when it’s driven by joy.
Falling back in love with reading
Amid the chaos of growth, a quiet rediscovery took hold. I picked up Fourth Wing and A Court of Thorns and Roses — and fell headfirst into the kind of stories that made me remember why I loved storytelling in the first place. It reignited something I hadn’t realised I’d lost.
A leap of faith
Later that year, I made one of my bravest choices yet: leaving my role at Flodesk to go full-time with Pixie Dust Wanderlust. It was a move driven by intuition and a desire to build something truly my own — a brand rooted in storytelling, connection, and a bit of magic.
rest, reflection & Reawakening
After years of constant motion, 2024 became a year of forced stillness. Personal challenges, mental health, and the slow, often painful process of understanding life through an AuDHD lens meant I had to step back. It wasn’t giving up — it was survival, and a much-needed pause to breathe, reassess, and begin healing.
Finding solace in stories
In that quiet, books became her anchor. I read more than fifty over the year — escaping into worlds that helped me process my own. Somewhere between those pages, a spark returned. The first threads of what would become my romantasy series began to take shape — drawn from the emotions, memories, and questions I’d carried for years.
The book girlies
And then came the book girlies — five women who appeared at just the right time. What started as shared fandoms turned into deep friendship: laughter, late-night voice notes, endless theories, and unwavering support. They reignited my belief in connection, creativity, and the quiet kind of magic that happens when women find their people.
returning to pixie dust wanderlust
After a year of rest and reflection, I returned to Pixie Dust Wanderlust with a clearer sense of purpose. It was no longer just about planning or content — it was about rebuilding something meaningful. A home for creativity, storytelling, and the gentle kind of magic that helps people find wonder again..
reclaiming the Dream
This was the year I stopped calling myself someone who used to write and finally claimed the title of author. I began plotting and writing the novels that had lived in my heart for years, shaping ideas that blurred the lines between fantasy and truth, love and loss, magic and memory.
writing as healing
Alongside her novels, poetry found me — quiet, personal, and cathartic. What started as fragments of thought became a way to process emotion and capture the moments that shaped my healing. Each piece reminded me why I came back to writing in the first place: not for perfection, but for connection.
